About

Independent visual artist – sculpture,
installation, object, print, performances etc.
Born 1956 in Sønderborg, Denmark, near the border to Germany.
Work and live in Nees (a little village at the Western part of Jutland with about 40 residents) since 1979. Founder of ET4U in 1999 – with the aim of strengthening international professional contacts and in the same time bring contemporary art to this rural part of Denmark, in the realization that it is almost impossible to live and develop professionally here, without being a party to a professional and active network that goes beyond the local area. I am living and working together with my wife, the artist Karen Havskov Jensen, thus important ET4U decisions are frequently discussed around our breakfast table.

About my interest and my work with the art can be said:
… are processes that can best be described as moving in between:
The properly oriented and the laterally reversed
The positive and the negative
The space and the space in between
The form and the content
The black and the white
The immaterial and the material
The intuitive and the reflective
The individual and the collective
The playful and the serious
The factual and the fantastical
The conscious and the unconscious
… sometimes on rocky grounds, exploring new collaborations, ideas and skills …
Add to that:
The known and the unknown
The expected and the unforeseen
… in my capacity as both curator and visual artist
